The quiz comes in two parts…
Question and Answer Round
20 questions, each of which will be relevant to the celebrant’s birthday – some relating to the year they were born, some to events that happened on their birthday in previous years.
Picture Round
10 photos of famous people born in the same year as the birthday celebrant. The aim is to identify these people. Photos are sourced from a professional agency and are fully licensed for this purpose.
When your quiz has been compiled, we will email you five PDF files to print and use in your quiz. Two of these will be for the picture round – one with the pictures and one with the answers. Two will be for the question and answer round – one with the answers and one without (giving the person who reads out the questions the option to take part in the quiz too). The final file is for those taking part to write their answers on.
Your quiz will be custom-created and emailed to you within three working days. No physical product will be shipped to you.
Some questions will relate to the year the person was born. So, if you are buying a quiz to use for Jack’s birthday and Jack was born in 1983, your quiz might include questions such as…
- Who was Prime Minister of the UK in the year Jack was born?
- What was the approximate average house price in the UK in the year Jack was born?… a) £7,000; b) £27,000; or c) £47,000?
- What happened first?… a) Live Aid; or b) Jack?
Some questions will relate to events that happened on previous birthdays. So, if you are buying a quiz for Jill’s birthday and Jill was born on May 6th 1968, your quiz might include questions such as…
- ABBA were at number one in the UK singles chart on Jill’s sixth birthday with which Eurovision Song Contest-winning song?
- The company SpaceX was founded on Jill’s 34th birthday by Elon Musk with the goal of reducing space transportation costs and colonising which planet?
- Born on Jill’s 51st birthday, what is the first name of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s eldest child?
In order to compile your quiz, we need the following information...
First Name
We need to know the birthday celebrant’s first name to include in the questions and on page headings.
Date of Birth
Next, we need their date of birth. Please note, that this must be before 2004. This is due to the lack of people born in recent years who are yet to become famous enough for the picture round.
Difficulty Level
Next, we ask for a difficulty level. Our 'standard' difficulty level would typically suit a quiz where those taking part are in teams of two of three adults. If people are taking part on their own, we would suggest you ask for the quiz to be a bit easier. If you’d prefer a harder quiz (e.g. if pub quiz enthusiasts are taking part), then we can do this too.
